Abolghasem Fanaei (born 1960, Tehran) is an Assistant professor of MU’s Department of philosophy. He received a Master's degree in "Theology and Islamic Studies" from the University of Qom in 1996 , a master's degree in "Philosophy of Ethics" in 1999, and a PhD in " Moral Philosophy " from the University of Sheffield in the UK in 2003.

He also started seminary courses in 1979 in the seminary of Qom and after completing the elementary courses and the following levels, he participated in the courses of Advanced Islamic Jurisprudence and Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence (Kharej-e Fiqh and Usul) for many years.
