Seyed Ali Mirmousavi (born 1967, Isfahan) is an Associate professor of MU’s Department of Political Science. He received a Bachelor's degree in "political science" in 1993, a Master's degree in "International Relations" in 1995, and a PhD in "Political Science" from the University of Tehran in 2002. He also started seminary courses in 1983 and participated in courses of Advanced Islamic Jurisprudence and Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence (Kharej-e Fiqh and Usul) for eight years.

Among his honors are being selected as the distinguished researcher of the Congress of Religious Scholars ranked 1st in 2003 for his "Islam, Tradition and Modern Government" and the distinguished researcher of the Congress of Religious Scholars ranked 1st in 2002 for his "Theoretical foundations of human rights from the perspective of Islam and other schools".
