Seyed Sadegh Haghighat

Department of political science
(2001-present)



Seyed Sadegh Haghighat (born 1963, Isfahan) is the full professor of MU’s Department of Political Science. He received a Bachelor's degree in "political science" from the University of Tehran in 1993, a Master's degree in "International Relations" from The School of International Relations in 1995, and a PhD in "political science, political thought" from Tarbiat Modares University in 2001. He also started Shii Seminary studies in 1981 and participated in courses of Advanced Islamic Jurisprudence and Principles (Kharej-e Fiqh and Usul) for 14 years.

Among his honors are being selected as the distinguished researcher in Qom province , Mofid University, and the National Elite Foundation in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2013 and 2015 and a distinguished researcher of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2005.
